SOUTH AFRICA SHOULD WITHDRAW FROM WORLD CUP

It has been a very long time watching the so called Bafana Bafana embarrassing and disappointing South African soccer fans since Clive Baker resigned; there has not been any good memory about our soccer national team. Bafana Bafana have been working hard to be the worst number one team in the world ever and I personally think they are doing an excellent job to achieve their goal not our goal as nation. We as South Africans wanted to host the world cup and have outstanding national soccer team that will represent us superbly, probably win the world cup. We achieved our first goal, which is to be the hosts, for our second goal it is doom and gloom. It is doom and gloom because it is not within our control to select the winning team. You should know that since 1996, Bafana Bafana have been hard at work to lose each game, this made it very difficult for us soccer fans to support the soccer national team. You take a thorough look at PSL teams, they no longer produce quality players to play for top teams in the world, South African players oversees are playing for uncompetitive clubs; no one player is playing for world class teams like Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona etc. SAFA hired more than ten coaches since the resignation of Clive Baker, our best coach ever. This can only tell one thing that from administration to the field things have been appallingly run. What’s surprising is that huge amount of money is spent trying to improve the standard of soccer, but nothing is improving. I do not understand why there is a campaign to wear a Bafana jersey every Friday to demonstrate your support for them. I will never support such awful campaign, anyway who came with this terrible idea to support losers; she or he must be terrible as Bafana whoever is. I am very proud that we are the hosts but do not expect me to be proud of the so called Bafana Bafana, I am not a loser that is why I will never give my support for Bafana Bafana. Bafana Bafana have done enough to embarrass us; with no sign of them getting better they should not participate in next year’s world cup, South Africa is better as hosts not as participants. We all know that there is no way in hell that Bafana Bafana could win their first three games to qualify for last sixteen, so why do we have to go through such trauma. If you do not concur with me, you have a hope in hell that Bafana could qualify for last sixteen. There is no any soccer coach in the world that can turn Bafana Bafana into a world class team now, maybe after world cup. Someone might say I am being pessimistic, no I am being realistic. South Africa is hosting this world cup for Africa, so let us give support to competitive African teams. Competitive teams like Cameroon and Ghana; these are the teams that I know they can put up a good fight to win the world cup. These are the teams that really deserve our support; they have displayed a real enthusiasm and willingness.
